SDGs and care work: where do we stand?

SDGs 2030, What is the vision for the CARE’s work ?

The October edition of our Think & Drink afterwork deals with Gender representation in the CARE professions. Traditionally, men have been associated with action and leadership jobs, while women have been associated with compassion and care. On the one hand we have paid and unpaid jobs. SDG 5.4 aims at a change of principle: “ Make room for and value unpaid care and domestic work, through the provision of public services, infrastructure and social protection policies and the promotion of shared responsibility in the household and family, according to the national context”. What does this mean in practice? How will it be implemented?
